One thing that I have realized as the most important factor in health coaching is that it's not my job to tell someone what health looks like for them. It could be something as simple as decluttering a room in your home so that you can live a less mentally cluttered home life, all the way up to wanting to lose a hundred pounds for the health of it or anything else in between. In my opinion, health and life coaching aren't but could be the same thing. It's all about creating a change in your life for the better. My job is to teach coping skills and workarounds, and encourage ritualistic behaviors to create the change you want to see in your life.
My plan is to create a program that is based on group trainings, group zoom calls, social media groups, and one-on-one phone consultations. I think that despite people having differing goals and plans for their own health path, the concept of creating something in your life for the positive can translate from person to person. Those behaviors that we have around whatever we're stuck on? A lot of those are based on experiences from our past, and you don't have to have the same goals to create a change together for one another in a group setting. It's not about the individual issue, it's abut the patterns, habits, and potential negative internal dialogue. That is a universal thing, no matter the issue, and being in a group setting with people with similar overarching goals can really help, and that is what this program will be about.
